Omar Govea is a Mexican professional soccer player who currently plays as a midfielder for Zulte Waregem in the Belgian First Division A. He was born on January 18, 1996, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
Govea began his professional career with the Mexican club Club Tijuana in 2013, before moving on loan to FC Porto B in Portugal in 2016. He has also had loan spells at Royal Excel Mouscron in Belgium and CD Aves in Portugal.
Govea has represented Mexico at various youth levels, including the U17, U20, and U21 teams. He has yet to make his senior debut for the Mexican national team but is considered a promising young talent in Mexican soccer.
